| Port profile
Tooth profile with universal profile shape
550 or 600 without cutting edges for the tooth tapers
Reduced inventory.
For various pitches in a limited range
Preferably one-off production.
Outside/core diameters must be accurately
pre-turned.
Full profile

Tooth profile with full profile shape
including tooth height.
For burr-free precise threads in the specified pitch.
General applications
Machining allowance for outside/core diameter
around 0.1-0.15 mm/surface. |

Function & application
Radial infeed General, straight
forward infeed in radial direction with metal
remover on both tooth flanks.
Even wear.
Primarily for small pictures of up to approx. 3mm.
Cast iron workpiece materials and strain-hardening steels,
particularly stainless austentic steel.
Modified flank infeed

Optimized infeed at an angle of 3-50 to the thread flank.
Good chip flow, smoother operation.
Preferably for larger pitches from approx. 4mm and
trapezoidal threads on numerically controlled machine tools.
Alternating infeed

Combined radial and / or alternating flank infeed.
Results in good tool life, with wear evenly distributed over
both flanks.
Mainly for coarse threads on suitably programmed NC
machine tools. |
